My daughter put her polarfleece poncho through the wash with a sticker attached (unbeknownst to me) and now that it has returned from the dryer there is an area of glueish residue that I am having trouble removing. Any ideas? How do you get adhesive off polarfleece?
Depends what its chemical base is - But try simple nail varnish removerHow do you get adhesive off polarfleece?
Always keep a bottle of ';Goo Gone'; in your house. It has a multitude of uses.Apply the goo gone to the sticky area and rub the fabric together.Keep applying and rubbing until the glue breaks up.The goo gone is greasy,so you will have to wash the garment again to get the grease out,but this method will work. You can purchase goo gone almost anywhere.Supermarket, hardware store, drugstore.
Birdlover is correct. I always have Goo Gone sitting on my washing machine. It is the bomb!!!
I have had luck with putting it in the freezer till the adhesive is frozen solid, then, just pick it off! :)
