I install high end cabinetry with expensive finishes. Sometimes there are adhesive residues left from tape and labels. Goo Gone is the way to go. It is made with a citrus oil and will loosen the glue before it attacks the finish. Test it in an inconspicuous area first.
Use a laundry spot treatment. Works on everything. Takes gum out of hair, stickers off of glass, or any adhesive off of anything. Will not hurt hurt wood just clean it off and polish.
try just a little wd 40 oil and rub lightly and see what happens........first does it have a good finish on it..........if not do not use the oil.......but if it has a finish then the oil will be all right.............good luck.
I've had this problem often and I've used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get off the adhesive. It works really well without using chemicals that are harmful to the wood.
Definitely Goo-Gone. You can find small bottles of this at the Dollar Tree stores.
theres a product called goo-gone. you can get it at a hardware store its like $12-18.
i wonder if pine sol would work?
