Are you talking about putting a roll-on roofing product over corrugated material -probably fiberglass?
If you are all you are going to do is have problems. It really sounds like you need to remove the corrugated sheets and then replace them with the same or steel.
Are any of the sheets cracked or broken? If not your leak may be in the ridge (top) of the roof, where the roof attaches to the house - if it is an attached garage, or some of the fasteners that are holding the sheets down are loose or missing - may only need to tighten and/or replace with neo-screws for that type of roofing - ask for these screws at any supply store and they will know what you need.

use a cheap plastic tarp, if the neighbors don't mind just leave it up there, otherwise take it down until next rain and it will last longer
