What do you use to get the remaining adhesive from a sticker off of a glass container?

If you peel a sticker off of a glass bottle but don't t get all of it off, what can you use to remove the rest?What do you use to get the remaining adhesive from a sticker off of a glass container?
Remaining glue will not come off by soaking in water.





It can be removed with all the oil based solvents mentioned, like cigarette lighter fluid (works great) WD-40, and Goo-Gone, which all work very fast.





Vegetable oil, and just about any other oil products, since they too break down the glue, also work, they just work much slower and require more rubbing than the very thin liquid solvents like the cigarette lighter fluid.





Any residue from the oil based products can afterwords be removed from the glass with any soap based cleaners, because soap breaks down oils.What do you use to get the remaining adhesive from a sticker off of a glass container?
Steam.
Goo Gone, or rubbing some cooking oil into it
Acetone,or Finger nail polish(same thing but in small container) Lighter fluid, paint thinner, baby oil, lemon oil, Goof Off, Goo Be Gone, Rubbing Alcohol, any of the above. Bye
I have used WD-40 for years for this purpose. It's a fish oil based product that is extremely efficient and not harmful.
They sell products like goof off in stores. A less expensive and widely used quick fix is basic lighter fluid. It takes sticker residue off glass, and other hard surfaces while not harming the surface. Goof off and similar products will melt some plastics.
Soak it in hot soapy water for a couple of hours and it comes right off!
Washing up liquid is good, just use a scouring pad with it on and rub the sticky bits off. Cheaper than named brands
Try ';Goo Gone'; or something like that. I forget exactly what it's called, but it works. Try a hardware store.

There is a product called ';sticky stuff remover';. I think I bought it from Lakeland. I have had mine for some years and it is absolutely brilliant.
