How do you remove adhesive residue from skin?

I had surgery the other day and they put those monitors on your chest and when they take them off, they leave that residue stuff on you. How do you get it off?How do you remove adhesive residue from skin?
I know exactly what you mean! I took mine off with baby oil. If you don't have any, try any other oily substance, ie olive oil, cooking oil. It helps to break up the adhesive from your skin. Good luck! How do you remove adhesive residue from skin?
Rubbing alcohol. The best way is to buy alcohol pads in boxes because using cotton balls aren't very easy to use and gauze will ball up too bad but ask the hospital for some alcohol swabs(pads) or buy them in a pharmacy. You could try using the corner of a wash cloth. Put alcohol on it and rub a lot. It takes a while but it comes off. I've used them LOTS of times.
try saturating some cotton balls with alcohol and rubbing on the residue.
