How do I get what looks like adhesive off a patent leather coat?

Got a really cool black patent leather coat at the goodwill. Looks like someone formerly had put a duct tape design on the coat. The adhesive remains behind. Don't want to ruin the coat, but would like to avoid the dry cleanerHow do I get what looks like adhesive off a patent leather coat?
WD-40How do I get what looks like adhesive off a patent leather coat?
definitely get GooGone. You can get it at a hardware store or WalMart, K-Mart, Target...places like that.
Use Goo-Gone on a sponge. Then follow it up with mink oil. I'tll come out looking great.
Windex.
TRY SOME OXI -CLEAN .

MIX IT WITH WATER .

THAT SHOULD WORK
WD40 or similar solvent (petroleum based, not water based solvent)
hi

get some WD-40 and spray on let sit and them rub off
the best thing i have found to take anything off patent leather is to actually wipe it with a tiny bit of gasoline and it will not dull the jacket it has always worked for me
Try some sticky stuff remover is orange based and is usually sold for taking plaster marks off.
