How do you get adhesive from a label off clothing without leaving a stain or residue?

I purchased some Disney princess hats for resale and they all have a round sticker on the bill of the hats. The stickers are old, and when you go to remove them, they come off, but leave an adhesive residue on the bill. Any solutions? How do you get adhesive from a label off clothing without leaving a stain or residue?

soaking in nail varnish remover is good, or else try Betterware 'sticky stuff remover'.

As a last resort WD40 is excellent at removing sticky glue residues.

Hope one of these helps.
I agree with a bit of nail varnish remover but do a test area first to check colour %26amp; material is unharmed. Just use a bit though don't soak it.
You could try hair spray it works for sticky marks on glass and polished surfaces. Never tried it on fabric but might be worth a try.
try an iron on a low setting
