How do I get adhesive putty off of walls?

A few years ago I put up Glow-in-the-Dark Stars on my wall with adhesive putty. I took down the stars and got most of the putty off, but some of the putty has hardened and it difficult to get off. How can I get this stuff of my walls?How do I get adhesive putty off of walls?
