Tyvek ( a DuPont product) tape or any other house wrap tape works fine. Be careful as you won't be able to reposition it without tearing your poly. One mill poly is too thin to be an adequate vapor retarder. Minimum of 4 mil, 6 mil is even better.

What glue, adhesive or tape can I use to bond poly sheeting?
I need to permanently bond the standard poly sheeting flame retardant vapor barrier together. I know heat sealing is good, but I don't have the right tool. Or can anyone tell me what temperature 1 mil plastic can be bonded? What glue, adhesive or tape can I use to bond poly sheeting?
