How do you remove the denture adhesive from the inside of your mouth after you remove your dentures?

I am a new denture wearer and am having difficulty removing the glue from my gums and palate without scrubbing and hurting myself. Any hints? How do you remove the denture adhesive from the inside of your mouth after you remove your dentures?
When I used dentures adhesive I used to swish some hot water around in my mouth and under my teeth before I took them out, then again after I took them out, that usually got most of it. Then I used a paper towel and a soft toothbrush if there was still some on my gums. I never liked using glue but if you can't just leave your teeth out I don't know of another choice to keep them in. Maybe it's time for a reline. That might make you teeth fit better so you don't need the glue. How do you remove the denture adhesive from the inside of your mouth after you remove your dentures?

Besides swishing with mouthwash, no. I've had many patients complain of the same thing. The adhesive pads are the best, though if you like the fit of the cream, try a thicker paste. I don't know what brand you have now, but a thicker paste may help by making it easier to pull out in one big lump. Good luck!
I've got the same problem so far i use my tooth brush and paste and brush my gums i also use the powder
Dont use that stuff...use the adhesive pads they works so much better
my husband uses the seabond pads he swears they work much better plus you dont have that gunk to deal with! he hates trying to scrub that left over goo out of his mouth
Try scrubbing with a soft toothbrush, or use some gauze pads or tissue to wipe it out.

You may find that you are able to go without the adhesive after your mouth has adjusted to the denture. Great fitting dentures sometimes don't need adhesive.
yes go too home depot. go too customer service. ask them for a jack hammerr. drag the jack hameer home. plug it in. stick it in your mouth and start drilling away. problem solveed.
