How do you get adhesive residue out of dog fur?

After removing a bandage from my short-haired dog's torso there are remnants of the sticky adhesive from the back of the tape stuck in her fur. I've tried dish soap and hydrogen peroxide but I can't get it out. Any suggestions? How do you get adhesive residue out of dog fur?
try eucalyptus oil or any oil base product, I'm sure that will work for you.How do you get adhesive residue out of dog fur?
Eucolyptus oil and tea tree oil work

I have a rough collie and it always works really easy
Normally I tend to use rubbing alcohol as a way to remove adhesive from boxes and such things you could try that.
Baby oil should do it, just make sure to wash it out afterward because your dog shouldn't be licking at it.
Yes, scissors.
Not sure if you'd want to use this on your dogs fur...but Pledge works great for removing adhesive.

Ok, that answer didn't go over well. Here's another try...

My husband swears by mayonnaise for removing sticky residue. Hasn't tried it on fur...but I heard awhile ago mayonnaise is actually good for your hair, so how bad could it be for dog's fur??
dawn soap is pretty good at getting stickies out. damn i can't remember the name of this other product that is pretty common inside houses.. it's green and has many purposes, my mother used to use it when he had gum in our hair %26gt;.%26lt;. can;t think of what it was.. another suggestion would be real butter. I usta play in the woods as a kid and get ';pitch'; all over my hands, butter did a good job of getting it off fast. lots of websites suggest peanut butter.
Try a baby wipe or, better yet, they make pet wipes that are totally non-toxic to dogs and cats!
Pet wipes from any pet store is the safest
don't put it there to start with
i would try rubbing alcohol. Then nail polish remover, but be sure to just use a little on a cotton ball, and don't let your pup sniff it.
Just give it some time, it will unsticky on its own, and the fur will shed, and new will grow, dont u worry.
i know this sounds weird but its my grandmothers remedy... peanut butter.... work it in really good and then wash it out... it works on clothing anyways....
Assuming the dog has already been through some trauma of some sort (that required the bandage in the first place)....

I'd either let it go.. and grow out... or trim / shave the hair if the glue is that noticeable.
