I've tried Goo Gone, lotion, various solvents, alcohol- now I'm trying to move out of my apartment and keep my deposit. Even after trying to thickly paint over these annoying patches, the squares are still evident. I've tried sanding as well. Any suggestions? How do I remove permanent adhesive square residue from my walls?
I've always had good luck soaking the area in alcohol and then scraping with a single edge razor blade. If you can't remove it, consider covering it with a small piece of masking tape, which you then paint to match the wall. By the way, toothpaste is also good for filling in small nail holes, and then of course paint over when dryHow do I remove permanent adhesive square residue from my walls?
if you've painted over them, they aren't going anywhere until you remove the paint. Once you've removed the paint, I'd try either ronsol lighter fluid or toulene. good luck
Why did you paint over them if you are trying to remove them? Now you`ll have to scrap them off! Patch then touch up with paint.
All I ever had to do is rub them into a ball with a dry thumb.
