What is the best adhesive to use when making invitations out of cardstock?

I am planning on making my own wedding invitations. I will be making them out of cardstock. But I do not know which is the best adhesive to use for this job. Also i will be using ribbon which will also need to be glued on to the invitation. I would rather buy one adhesive to do both jobs but if i cant then thats fine. I have never been into scrapbooking or crafts that require gluing so this is a new territory for me. I need help. Thanks everyone for your time. What is the best adhesive to use when making invitations out of cardstock?
Scotch makes this glue stick that I love. It's blue and is a repositioning glue so if you lay it down and don't like it, you can pull it back up without ripping the paper. It sticks like a charm and I love how you can reposition the glued item without having to reapply the glue. It's not messy, it doesn't ripple the paper like the wet glue does...it's perfect!

I have used repositioning glue from different companies and love them all. You typically find it in the scrapbooking section. What is the best adhesive to use when making invitations out of cardstock?
Glue Dots are great for ribbon and can also be used for paper eliminating the need to purchase two types of adhesive.
I LOVE GLUE DOTS! They are awesome. ESPECIALLY for things like ribbon. But they stick like a bad habit! They aren't going to dry up and fall apart like glue sticks, or rubber cement and the like.
OH do not use a glue stick. Your invitation could arrive all fallen apart.

You need to use a two way tape. Scrapbooking stores will have two way tape runners.

there are several on the site below.
