Im making a wardrobe with conti board, i want it really sturdy (its to support very heavy mirror sliding doors) so I am going to glue two pieces of conti board together so the wardrobe walls and ceiling are thick and don't warp. Can anyone tell me what adhesive is the best for this job, or would screwing the boards together be better? or both maybe? What adhesive should i use to glue contiboard together?
contiboard is a compressed particle board You can use liquid nails, it comes in caulk gun tubes which may just be enough for your needs just squeeze it out in a narrow figure eight fashion onto the area and wait 20 minutes before bonding the pieces and allow the pieces to dry overnight. What adhesive should i use to glue contiboard together?
Just so we are clear here, Conti-board is particle board, NO amount of screwing it will help it. Liquid Nails will do a good job. But, without some kind of support, it will fail as well.
The best advice you will get is this. Sandwich two boards together, both under and over, and screw them together. Glue the seam. This will create what you seek without any further undue nonsense.
first clean up both side which are to be jointed.then join them with glue and left them for half an hour.then screw up the boards.this will give great strength to bond b/w the boards.and can be used in heavy mirror sliding doors.
