How do you get adhesive glue marks off of couch fabric?

I was using plastic patches to keep my cats from clawing up my couches. Instead the adhesive from the plastic patches are stuck on the fabric. I've tried alcohol, and fabric cleaner. What will break down this rubbery glue?How do you get adhesive glue marks off of couch fabric?

Try cider-vinegar, usually sold in delicattesents (never could spell that word!)


Try small area first and you may have to spray some air freshner to get rid of the smell.


Fantastic stuff though, get a book on it and look at the hundreds of uses, apart from health-wise. we even give it to our chickens in their water ~ they love it!
