Be Blessed!
Mix a solution of hot water and dishwashing soap. With a soft cloth dipped in the solution, rub until the gummy substance is softened and removed. Rinse with clear water and wipe dry.
Simple Green cleaner from the automotive department. Smells really nice and gets it right off without damaging the surface or leaving a funky residue.
WD40
Goo Gone is good, or you could try something you may already have:
Rubbing alcohol works well for smaller patches, but for bigger areas can involve too much scrubbing. Some people recommend using a sharp blade, but you may scrape the paint.
The things that I've found that work the best are anything oily- some lotions, butter, olive oil, peanut butter. The oils break down the products they use to make the labels stick. Of course, if you feel weird about rubbing food products on your filing cabinet, then I'd go with the commercial products!
windex works well, you just have to spritz and let it sit for a while one or two times. it takes all the sticky out without too much elbow grease.
Oops! or Goof-Off both you can find at your local hardware store or wal-mart.
Try some WD-40 and a rubber scraper.=)
Try rubbing it with peanut butter and a dry polyester ot nylon sponge. Works for me!
