I am making beautiful silk-covered invitations and each one uses a LOTof spray adhesive. Even though I let them air a few days, they still have a faint adhesvie smell. Any ideas? Is there some oder eliminating spray made for crafts? Or maybe I should use the same spray that smokers use for their clothes and hair? How can I eliminate the adhesive odor from DIY invitations?
I would worry that other sprays will mark the silk. The smell should go away with airing out, but may take a few more days. You could put them in a box with an open pan of baking soda beside them to absorb some of the odor.
Maybe look into getting a different glue for future use? There are all sorts of quick dry craft glues for fabric and paper. Perhaps a good quality glue stick might work also. (good quality though, the cheap ones get really clumpy and don't stick well).
